SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

LogiXML seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead, design, and develop rich data-driven Web and desktop applications and Web services using C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, and Javascript in a Windows and Linux Server environment. This position works closely with Development, QA, and Product Management to design and implement new features and capabilities for LogiXML’s suite of business intelligence software products.

Required skills and experience:

  • Computer Science degree. Masters degree a plus
  • 7+ years overall programming experience
  • 4+ years experience with ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework
  • 2+ years experience with Javascript, AJAX
  • 1+ years experience with web services and WCF
  • Knowledge of reporting, data analysis and forecasting algorithms a must
  • Experience with n-tier client/server development in web-based software development
  • Proficiency with SOA, XML, XSLT, HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Object Oriented Programming concepts, design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture concepts and designs of multi-tier applications
  • RDBMS, SQL, OLEDB, ODBC, JDBC
  • Experience with multiple database engines a plus (SQL, Oracle, Informix, DB2)
  • Exposure to TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP
  • Experience with n-tier client/server development in web-based software development
  • Experience with Linux environment, Tomcat and Mono a plus
  • Exposure to environments with continuous integration, automated testing and agile software development a plus
  • Strong communication skills

SOFTWARE ARCHITECT

LogiXML seeks a Software Architect to lead IT projects involving design, development, and implementation of software applications and Web services to enhance and support company’s Web-based dashboard, reporting and analysis products using Microsoft.NET framework. Candidate will analyze client business requirements and develop strategies and frameworks for implementing and customizing company’s products to their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and model software architecture using principles and techniques of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
  • Plan and lead the design and development of various software component and modules.
  • Create, edit and distribute various applications as required using development tools such as C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT, SQL Server, and Oracle.
  • Work closely with QA and Product Management to design and implement new core capabilities to company’s Web-based Business Intelligence products.
  • Design and enhance Web-based User Interface to provide more flexibility and ease of use for the end-users.
  • Develop complex database stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Develop API’s and diagnostic tools.
  • Write and maintain appropriate documentation to describe installation and operation procedures as well as logic, coding revisions and corrections.
  • Design and review code, deployment

Required skills and experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Info Systems or a closely related field
  • Minimum1 year of experience developing software and/or Web applications
  • Knowledge of forecasting algorithms is required
